JANITORIAL SUPERVISOR
Job Summary:
The Janitorial Supervisor for soft services will play a critical role in managing and supervising the
janitorial team responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at client locations. You will be
responsible for organizing work schedules, ensuring compliance with standards and safety protocols, and
fostering a positive team environment.
1. Supervision and Team Management:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of janitors to ensure they are
well-equipped and motivated to perform their duties effectively.
2. Scheduling:
- Create and manage work schedules for the janitorial team,
ensuring coverage and timely completion of tasks.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met or exceeded.
- Address any non-compliance and take corrective actions.
4. Inventory Management:
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels for cleaning supplies and
equipment, ensuring that necessary items are always available.
5. Client Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with clients to
understand their specific needs and address any concerns promptly.
6. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that janitorial staff follows safety protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
7. Training:
- Provide ongoing training to janitorial staff on cleaning
techniques, safety procedures, and the use of new equipment and technology.
8. Reporting:
- Generate and maintain reports on janitorial activities, performance,
and equipment maintenance. Provide regular updates to management.
9. Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues, complaints, or challenges that may
arise during daily operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in janitorial management is a plus).
- Proven experience in janitorial supervision or a related role within the soft services industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in using office software and janitorial management tools.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.
